Stretching from the majestic Himalayan Mountains in the north to the Bay of Bengal in the south, West Bengal has been shaped by a myriad of cultures throughout its history. The fusion of these cultural influences, coupled with Bengal's distinctive richness, is evident in its vibrant and significant contributions to various epochs and traditions of contemporary society. MISSION & VISION
The main objective of BIIFF is to promote the growth of the cinematic arts. The team is committed to arranging film screenings in diverse interior and rural areas of Bengal, aiming to raise awareness about filmmaking and emphasize the significance of cinema. BIIFF holds the belief that education through visual arts serves as a potent means to enhance understanding. The festival strives to introduce the realm of cinema to the underprivileged population of rural Bengal, offering an escape from the monotony of everyday life.

Before submitting your film to BIIFF, carefully review and acknowledge the Rules and Terms, as your submission implies your binding agreement to adhere to them.

Films submitted for a specific month in BIIFF can be resubmitted for a second chance, given different judging panels for each season.
Films in languages other than English must include English subtitles; otherwise, they may be rejected at the discretion of BIIFF.
BIIFF reserves the right to reject entries and allows directors/producers to submit multiple films in a category or across different categories simultaneously.
By submitting, you indemnify and hold BIIFF harmless from claims related to copyright, trademark, credits, and publicity, incurring any associated expenses.
Officially selected films will be listed on the festival website, indicating acknowledgment by the judging panel, but it doesn't guarantee screening at the festival.
BIIFF won't refund fees for incorrect category submissions. Films lacking correct fees or proper submission media may be deemed ineligible, with no coverage of filmmaker expenses.
Submission requires an official trailer or poster, synopsis, and a film link, with careful category selection to avoid disqualification. BIIFF reserves the right to reassign films to appropriate categories.
Nominees will be privately screened for the BIIFF judging panel, not initially to the public.
Filmmaker submission fees are non-refundable, even if they choose to withdraw their submission.
Indemnification clause: You agree to hold BIIFF harmless from claims related to copyright, trademark, credits, and publicity, covering associated expenses.
BIIFF may amend Rules & Terms without notice; updates are your responsibility to check periodically. Amendments are effective immediately upon publication.

Every submitted film will undergo a review process A panel of industry experts will further evaluate the finalists and determine the winners. Monthly season winners will be awarded official BIIFF laurels, trophies, and additional prizes. These monthly winners will also be contenders for the Annual BIIFF Awards (The Best of the Best) and will receive invitations to the annual live screening Award event in Bengal.
